Well, we at fastpayments.co.uk are both pleased and disappointed. The FP scheme has finally gone live after more than two years of development, but it has started very quietly. It will not be until the end of the year before the majority of payments eligible to go via Faster Payments will be doing so. The BBC's article "Faster Payments - how long?" gives a very good summary of what each bank was offerring on the day of launch on the 27th of May. Clearly this will change over time and so be confusing for consumers and businesses for much of the rest of this year.
